Sam Matthew is a glass artist native to Atlanta but first learned the craft in Chicago.  Mesmerized by the fluidity and challenge of shaping 2000 degree molten hot sand, he has constantly been pushing himself to work larger and learn new techniques.  He now has a retail space at The Westside Market (# 408) and works at Decatur Glassblowing as an Instructor.  His wife and daughter are a constant motivation for Sam as he pursues his passion for glass.
